Yesterday evening welovebearwood strolled over to Lightwoods Park Bandstand to see the Jazz Ramblers perform as part of the Birmingham International Jazz Festival.

Many people (including Radio 6's Stuart Maconie...yes we know!) had the same idea as us and brought a picnic and had a wonderful time enjoying the evening sunshine listening to some summer jazz on our wonderful bandstand.

And that's not all folks....The Silvershine Jazz Club (at Corks Club, Bearwood Road) are paying tribute to the late great jazz legend Andy Hamilton this Thursday evening. 

The Blue Notes past and present will be playing Andy's Caribbean grooves and if it's half as good as the last Silvershine Andy Hamilton evening we went to you're in for a very special night. 

The music starts at 8.30pm and it's only £5 entry.
